"I have been employed at Legh House since 2002 and started off with a cleaning post and thought I would actually like to care for the residents too. I then did the relevant training and became a care assistant, and worked myself up to Management level. I hold NVQ level 2 and 3 in Health and Social Care and level 5 in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and young people's services (Adults' Residential Management)

My role is to maintain the smooth day to day running of our Care Home. I am responsible to ensure that our dedicated well-trained staff meet the individual needs of our residents. I am also responsible for creating a safe and happy environment along with the support of my Deputy Manager and Senior Care Staff team."

Caroline - Deputy Manager

"My time with Legh House started in March 2011 as an Admin Assistant.  I had the opportunity to become the Senior Deputy Manager and obtained my NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Health & Social Care.

I enjoy the challenge of the role and support the Registered Manager and staff with the day to day running of Legh House."

"I started at MacPherson House in 2020 as Deputy Manager. I enjoyed my role and supported the manager in our daily running of the house. When she retired I had the opportunity to apply for the House Manager position and I was successful. I really like the ethos of Abbeyfield and the residents have accepted me into their family home. Originally my career was in catering and I worked in large care homes. This place was exactly what I was looking for when I realised that I wanted to change my career. We have a good team of staff and we all enjoy supporting our residents with their daily lives."
